BEGINNING THREAD PAINTING

ALL LEVELS Max. 15 students 6 hour workshop

This workshop will introduce students to the two basic thread painting techniques: zigzag and straight
stitches. Students will learn about needles, thread, hoops, stabilizers, machine set-up and movement
to achieve shading and dimension to design. A small design will be done in class. Students are
encouraged to have a basic understanding of the sewing machine.

THREAD PAINTING WITH A TWIST

ALL LEVELS Max. 15 students 6 hour workshop

This workshop will cover the basic set-up for free motion embroidery/thread painting. Students will also
be introduced to techniques to embellish thread painting and art/pictorial quilts, such as: bobbin work,
 couching, lace work, metallic threads, etc.

Students must have a good understanding of their machine operation. Many bobbin and thread
tension adjustments are required for this class. NOT FOR BEGINNERS

I’M THE BOSS!!!!!!!!!

ALL LEVELS Max. 15 students 3 hour workshop

This class will discuss the basic operations of the sewing machine…adjusting top tensions…bobbin adjustment…needles…cleaning, etc. Students will also learn the basic set-up for free motion embroidery
and learn to “play” with their machines.
